Grand Master's Announcements (Grand Master Chi Long)
1) Things seem to be proceeding well with the Vendetta... keep sending submissions!:)

2) Check out the Dark Hall section in the Dark Side Compendium for a major update.

3) I'm working on a few projects that should come to a head this next week! Keep your eyes open, as I will announce them as I release them!

Deputy Grand Master's Announcements (Dark Jedi Master Z'lar Kahn)
1) Vendetta:

The comp keeps a good pace... I've had almost 15 SP 1 submissions now, and 1 or 2 SP 2. And for what I'm told, Krath, Sith and the rest of the Obelisk events are doing well also. Keep it up!

2) Clan's possessions:

I am gathering a list of the possessions from each Clan. At the same time, I'm figuring out how to expand the kind of possessions that are used in the DB, and how to fit them in our competitions. So far I've received many interesting ideas about Jedi artifacts, ships and weapons.

I will have the complete list of possessions next week, and I will discuss the best ways to use them with the Dark Council. The rest of the membership will most likely be allowed to participate in a poll to help decide on that.

3) DSC revamping:

I've reviewed the different sections of the DSC, and I'm finishing the distribution of sections between DC members. We will be reviewing them and seeing what needs to be updated, what needs to be changed, and what needs to be removed or added. I also hope we'll be able to change the looks a bit.

If any DB member has read the DSC and has ideas of things to be added or thinks something should be changed, please be sure to email me and I'lll review it.

3) Lightsabers:

PRT Daniel Stephens, from house Dorimad Sol of Scholae Palatinae, sent me a couple of ideas last week. One of them talked about the possibility of customizing lightsaber description and characteristics.

I'll take this idea and start working on it together with the Dark Council, and I'll post news on it next weekend.

Master At Arms Announcements (Dark Side Adept Shotgun)
1. The roster currently stands at 783. That's down from last week's count of 792.

2. I'm putting the finishing touches on a proposal I have to set guidelines for elevations. It's basically done, but I want to hammer out some problems with how the language reads. I should be submitting it to the Dark Counsel today sometime for review.

3. On 8/18, I'll be moving back up to college. I'll probably be out of contact most of that day. This brings with it some good news. I'll have my T1 connection back, and with my extra free time (no more 60 hours work weeks), I'll be around much more and will probably be appearing on IRC on a regular basis :)

4. The following appointments were mae this past week:
OW Sharad Hett (Obelisk)/M:OHC/QUA/Dinaari of Taldryan

Headmaster's Announcements (Headmaster Mejas Doto)
As you can clearly see my announcements are slightly early. The reason foe this - well I've caught the Grand Master's travel bug, and am off to Belfast (Northern Ireland) from early tomorrow morning, but I should be back online Sunday night around 10pm onwards. Some of you know why I'm away others don't...have fun guessing! hehehe! During these next three days it will not be possible for any DB BASICS excams to be marked, but everything else is currently up to date. In this situation my Praetor would usually take over marking in my absence, however he is extremely ill in real life and would not be able to help. Please I just ask you to be patient over the weekend if you've submitted the BASICS exam and I'll get everythng up to date again on Monday afternoon, that is a blood oathe.

This week ahs been relatively slow for exams. I have marked only about 3 or 4 profiles , so if your in the academy, get your finger out and get through it as fast as you can, their is no point in sitting there twiddling your thumbs, your only clogging the system and wasting time! We have had 32 graduates and I'm sure their'll be another 2 by tonight - 2 character profiles from 2 BASICS graduates this afternoon.

The Academy should have been up yesterday, but myself and Quake, sorry ACO Kweeky!, never managhed to meet up. Hopefully it'll be up at some point today/tonight. I hope you all enjoyed the back door VIP pass I let you see last announcement (Dark Council) and when my FROMT end is incorporated onto it, the site should be excellent.

DGM/DJM Z`lar Khan, regarding your mail about my tasks that I was set I ahev alraedy maield my announcements earlier in the week for teh Dark Council to view, these expalin the procedure GM Chi Long and myself hope to take in order to improve the activity in Clans and Houses - especially the summits.

After speaking with my mentor and good friend Jac Cotelin, I have been extremely impressed with his suggestion of making the Shadow Academy more "Dark Jedi-ish" in it's running. As it stands it is very "IWATS-like" and having spoken with Lord Cotelin, some changes will be made upon my return early next week that will help change the whole process of the Academy, not in it's running but in the overall "Shadow Academy Experience". More details next week...(when I actually have some decent ones prepared!)

1) A number of medal related revisions have been sent to the powers that be on the Dark Council for review/helping/editing...


2) The definitions of the War Cross and the Bronze Scroll have been updated to be inclusive to all three orders (Sith, Krath, and Obelisk). So check the DSC for that.

Seneschal's Announcements (Dark Side Adept Corran Force)
1) I am still working on the skills dossier and hope to have it finished soon. It will take me a while to add them to the dossiers. You can still login and edit your skills that are currently listed. If you dont know them you can leave them blank.

2) I am about ready to begin coding the new promotion system that will be used. It will allow the Order Leaders to review the rec's first and add their comments in and then it will be submitted to the MAA for final approval. I hope that it will work like I want ;-). Once the MAA has approved it several people will be CCed and BCCed. CCed people will be AED, QUA, PCON, CON. BCCed will be the MAA, DGM, & GM(If they wish).

3) I am still planning out the holocron stuff that will be put into the database for the GM to use. I hope it will be completed soon.

4) The Reports archieve is still in the planning stages as well.

5) The internet connection here at work has been down due to the Code Red virus. I will be working on alot of coding and corrections this weekend.

Sith High Warrior's Announcements (Dark Side Adept Firefox)
1) No problem so far in the vendetta. Things are proceeding very smoothly for the Sith.

2) Due to some AWOLs and one outgoing transfer, the Avenger only gained one pilot this week. The Subjugator and Tau squadron remain steady. This puts our pilot total at 139.

3) As many know, I've announced that I will resign as SHW at the end of vendetta. My reasons for doing so are my own and I will not disclose them at this time. However, due to the surprising amount of people who bothered to talk to me on IRC, post messages on the MB and send me mails, I've decided to consider my options carefully. So, I'll just take the next few weeks to think it over.

Obelisk High Commander's Announcements (Obelisk Warlord Rizlib)
*hands out some strong coffee* (I have a looot of stuff to announce this week :P So please don't fall asleep!)

1. VENDETTA. Numbers for the 1v1 ladder have gone up this past week, to a whopping 44!! I am very pleased with the ammount of activity, there seems to a a nice buzz of JK players on IRC and it seems that the Obelisk has finally come out af a dead zone. I hope this will continue after the vendetta, with the brigade league and a new 1v1 ladder system, but I'll move on to that in a sec... Now, I'v finally sorted out my mailboxs (rizlib@hotmail.com, rizlib@gmx.net) I know that people have been getting errors, cos my mailbox has been full blah blah blah... But please don't send results more than once. If you have sent it, and think it hasnt got through, just ask me. Don't send 2 sets of scores! SP 1 semms to have had a good response, for those of you who have completed it, SP2 is available from the DGM. Also, please don't send me your SP sbmissions! Thats another reason for my mailbox being clogged a few times! ZK is handeling the SP stuff, so submit it to him!! :P

2. OBELISK GAMES Some of you may have noticed my post on the MB, if you havnt read it, go read it and post your response! Basically I'm out to find out if you would all preferr to see Unreal Tournement or Quake 3 come into the Obelisk. All the info on that is, as I said on the MB :)

3. DB - ZONE RELATIONS With the appointment of my new Magistrate, OW Sharad Hett, a seasoned zoner (congrats, sharad :P), I'm hoping to get a bit more JK activity up by looking into the Microsoft Gaming Zone, as they have quite a large JK community. This will be discussed over the next few weeks, and I hope to have a stratigy ready after the vendetta ;)

4. OBELISK OFFICE w00t! The new Obelisk office is still in the planning stage atm, and I have far too many ideas to put into it :P The new site will be replacing the old one at www.obeliskorder.org and will be php coded. This will house a large JK editing section and possibly a UT/Q3 editing section with level reviews and downloads, the brigade league, 1v1 ladders for JK and Q3 or UT, and an obelisk message forum. Other stuff will be added, but they are the main features. Additionaly, I will be inserting an experimental reports section for Obelisk quaestors to rill in for their weekley reports. This will put all the reports in the format and make it much eaiser to keep track of things, because at the moment, the reports I recieve are either full of irrelevent stuff, or about 5 lines long. No disrespect to Obelisk QUA's but I'd like to see the reports a little more structured :P This feature of the site will be available after the vendetta, so you don't need to worry about it till then :D

5. WOW - WEEK OF WAR FOR JEDI KNIGHT I've had a few requests from people to get us involved with WoW tournements, this is just to let you all know that I have it on my "todo" list and I'll try to get us signed up for the next WoW that comes along ;) The only problem I have is with what to call us? Are we going to be The Dark Brotherhood or go under Emperor's Hammer or The Obelisk? If you have any ideas or thoughts on that let me know! :)

Krath High Priest's Announcements (Krath Pontifex Mairin)
1: Vendetta stuff first:
- Please remember to put your ID line in your submission - it does help a lot!
- Tetrarchs you should be putting a full list of ID lines in with your Event 1 Submissions for medal awarding purposes. Please also zip your submissions for me, as I'm only on a little modem, and it's a slow little thing!
- You can now submit for Krath Events 2, 3 & 4 in poetical form. Those that would have done this and have already submitted may resubmit if they wish to. This decision has been taken in consultation with my Magistrate, KP Kaiann, to allow for those who want to dabble in poetry. ;)

2: On a sad note, my Praetor, OWL Tron Sadow, has been forced to resign due to RL commitments. PLEASE don't apply for the position! I will most likely be opening it up in the near future to my Magistrates first. It will only be opened to the general membership failing Kaiann or Ciara applying for it. I will keep you all posted.

3: There will be a 4-week maximum break (I hope) following this Vendetta before aother Competition starts up. I have the plans ready and waiting on my computer (they just need HTMLing), so hopefully there won't be any delays. Keep your eyes and ears tuned after the Vendtta for more details - it's going to be a biggy! :)

4: The Leadership Course that the DGM asked me to complete has now been finished and sent to the DGM and both other Order Leaders for comments and amendments. Following this I hope to send it to the Assembly of Consuls for comments and amendments from them before it gets sent on to Headmaster Mejas Doto. I estimate the whole process should take about 2-3 weeks.

5: I'm also currently in the middle of overseeing Clan Histories. I'll be submitting my report on that to DGM Zlar Kahn on Sunday night and writing will commence after the Vendetta is over. Following the Clan History Project completion, I am considering moving on to Krath House Histories...

6: Unfortunately, due to writing the Leadership Course, Krath Order Studies have got a little behind schedule. I'm hoping to get a bit more done on that this week and have some more positive news next weekend.

7: I'm on leave as of Thursday night until Sunday night. Please send all Vendetta submissions to me as normal. In the case of an emergency, please contact either of my magistrates, KAP Ciara (Proconsul Tarentum) or KP Kaiann (Quaestor Aleema), and I'm sure they'll be pleased to help you. :)

Commander of the Guard's Announcements (Obelisk Warlord Rizlib)
Well, a pretty short report this week... All my time has been taken up by the vendetta and Plans for the Obelisk, however I will be aiming to implement most of the things which I have planned for the Obelisk, into the GMRG. This will include The use of Q3 or UT, 1v1 ladders, and submission to various JK tournements. I think that the GMRG has, before tried to get on the zone, but has failed. After the vendetta, I am hoping to to re-try this and get our players on the zone, getting experience, and winning!
